Ooh, I didn’t realise this had been updated with trophy support. It’s a shame though that my PS3 is telling me I need to buy the full game even though I bought both the original and the Encore add-on on their respective release dates. Looks like I need to delete and download/install it again. I hope I don’t lose my progress doing so though, I’d rainbowed quite a few levels. Grrr.

I picked up two copies of this for only £9.95 each from Blockbuster last night for some online action with my son. I haven’t really got time to play it right now, but it was offer of the week, and I simply couldn’t refuse at that price. Whilst I didn’t like the first Gears of War, other people who felt the same have apparently loved the sequel, so I’m hoping I’ll feel the same.

Absolutely amazing game. Halfway through the Islands section of levels now. I bought a new DS3 yesterday instead of relying on the cheapo PS2 pad converter thingy I used for multiplayer before, and had some great laughs in co-op with my son. Fantastic stuff.

Bloody hell, only done a twenty minute work-out so far, but it is so much more intense than Wii Fit. It’s ker-nackering!

Fired this up earlier and noticed I hadn’t ever actually successfully completed the Dead Air campaign, so I tackled that and *just* made it onto the plane this time after being pummelled by a tank and vomited on by several boomers.

EA Sports Active has arrived today. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but it’s had the thumbs up from my wife and one of my daughters, and is apparently much better than Wii Fit. It helps that it has surely basic things such as properly structured workouts and an estimated count of calories burnt. I’ll give it a thorough test at the weekend.

I’ve somehow got my class B licence now, despite only winning one race.  Thankfully, there have been enough Marked Man and Road Rage events so far that I’ve ignored the races.  That may be about to change though.  I need to clear 26 events for my class A licence.  If that means racing then I’m stuffed.

Here’s the weekly recap from my 360’s blog at 360Voice.com:

Ste J’s Weekly Recap - May 18 2009

Watch closely because here comes the recap… if you aren’t paying attention, you might miss it: It is a good one! Ste J had seven days of gaming! In a row! I know! Crazy! The gamerscore increase was just insane. I didn’t think it would be possible to get 650 points in such a short span of time but we did. Who knew 21 achievements could be worth that much? Ok I knew that…

There were only a few games I wanted to try this week Ste J and I only tried one of them: You’re in the Movies. Oh, and Ste J seems obsessed with fighting games lately… You can tell because SmackDown vs RAW 2008 was the favorite last week. He played it on 5 of the days.

And that is all I got… it’s not much, but it is interesting.
